Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age to volunteer without a parent or guardian. Children 13 through 15 may volunteer to socialize puppies and kittens, with a parent on-site who is also a volunteer. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to walk dogs.Our volunteers are required to complete our application and attend orientation. The primary responsibilities of these volunteers were to supplement the agency’s road patrol and to provide additional administrative support. Today, this has evolved to over 110 men and women who commit their time to benefit the agency and our community.
