Volunteer: Fork Lift Driver Volunteer

Role Overview
As a Forklift Driver Volunteer, you’ll play a critical role in our food distribution operations by safely moving and staging palletized food donations. Your efforts help us efficiently pack orders and ensure our partner agencies receive the supplies they need.

Key Responsibilities

Operate sit-down or stand-up forklift to load, unload, and transport pallets of food and supplies

Stage pallets in designated storage or staging areas according to pick-list instructions

Perform daily pre- and post-shift forklift safety inspections and report any mechanical issues

Assist warehouse team with general tasks as needed (e.g., wrapping pallets, organizing inventory)

Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment

Volunteer: Volunteers Needed for Weekly Tuesday Load Out and Other Projects

Midwest Food Bank serves non-profit organizations such as food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, churches, and other non-profit organizations helping their community. On Tuesdays, volunteers are needed to assist agencies with shopping and loading food cases into their vehicles, from 8:45 am until 12:30 pm, lunch is included. Volunteers 16 and older are welcome. Other opportunities are also available on other weekdays at flexible times between 8 am-3 pm. These are indoor opportunities so please dress appropriately. Respond to this opportunity and we will be in touch!
