Volunteer: Build Ramps for Wheelchair Accessibility & Other ProjectsThe mission of Lee BIA Builders Care is to provide emergency construction services at no cost to needy and deserving elderly and disabled homeowners who cannot obtain repairs through traditional means. Builders Care exists to improve the quality of life for these deserving Lee County residents. Recipients are elderly and/or disabled individuals of all ages who are in financial need and are living with housing conditions that pose a safety or health threat. Builders Care is seeking high school students to assist with projects ranging from building wheelchair ramps, landscaping, painting, and other various projects. This is a perfect opportunity for students interested in getting first-hand experience in construction or trades like heating and cooling. Afternoon volunteer opportunity available. “Build My Future” is an event in October specifically for local high school students.
