The Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead is an after-school enrichment initiative designed to engage elementary students in hands-on learning experiences across science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. The program seeks committed college student volunteers to support instructional activities that foster curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking.

Volunteers will assist with interactive, project-based learning activities that encourage students to explore real-world applications of STEM concepts while building confidence and problem-solving skills. This program aims to increase student engagement in STEM-related fields through experiential learning and positive mentorship.

Support weekly S.T.E.A.M. enrichment sessions

Assist with hands-on science and engineering activities

Encourage inquiry, creativity, and collaborative problem-solving

Provide guidance and support during group projects and experiments

Serve as positive academic and social role models

Currently enrolled college students in good academic standing

Interest in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, arts, or education (all majors welcome)

Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for working with children

Reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to student learning

Practical experience supporting STEM education

Development of leadership, mentoring, and instructional support skills

Exposure to inquiry-based and project-based learning models

The Positive Behavior Club at Colonial Elementary School is seeking dedicated and motivated college student volunteers to support initiatives that promote positive behavior, healthy attitudes, and constructive approaches to student discipline.

Volunteers will play a key role in fostering a positive school climate by serving as role models and assisting with activities designed to reinforce social-emotional learning, respectful behavior, and proactive discipline strategies. This program emphasizes shifting discipline practices toward supportive, restorative, and educational approaches that encourage student growth and accountability.

Support weekly Positive Behavior Club sessions

Promote positive behavior, respectful interactions, and constructive decision-making

Assist with structured activities, group discussions, and mentoring

Collaborate with school staff to help reinforce positive behavioral expectations

Serve as a consistent, positive presence for participating students

Currently enrolled college students in good academic standing

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Interest in education, psychology, social work, counseling, criminal justice, or related fields (all majors welcome)

Reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to youth development

The Eagles Art Lab is a dynamic program where young artists can explore their creativity and develop a passion for visual arts. Meeting weekly after school, students collaborate on diverse artistic activities such as painting, drawing, sculpting, and mixed media, guided by enthusiastic art instructors provided by Alliance for the Arts. The Art Club nurtures artistic growth and a lifelong appreciation for the arts in a supportive environment. Volunteers will assist student's 1st and 2nd grades during the afterschool program for the 2025-2026 Academic Year from 3:15pm-4:15pm every Tuesday

A student leadership program provides students with structured opportunities to develop key leadership skills such as communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and decision-making. Through hands-on experiences like organizing school events, participating in community service projects, and representing student voices in school initiatives, students gain confidence and a deeper understanding of civic responsibility. The program not only fosters personal growth and academic engagement but also prepares students to be active, responsible leaders in both their school and the broader community.

Our Hope Packs provide students with small meals or snacks every Friday  a simple way to ensure they have something to eat over the weekend. Because every student deserves access to a quick meal when they need it.
