Who We Are
MISSION
The Healthy Earth Organization, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, was established in 2019 by Falon Tabares and John Harold to inspire young people in Southwest Florida to connect with nature and understand pressing environmental issues.
Our mission is to equip youth with the tools and opportunities to engage with their community, become environmental stewards, and drive positive change.
Through our outreach programs and partnerships, we offer hands-on S.T.R.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Climate Resilience, Engineering, Art, and Math) activities to over two thousand participants each quarter. These projects foster critical thinking and a lasting appreciation for the natural world. With 60% of U.S. youth concerned about climate change and unsure of how to help, we aim to empower them to take meaningful action and make a difference.
We are dedicated to creating a positive change in the lives of children ages 4 -25. Our passionate staff, generous donors, and caring international volunteers help provide resources to further our work.
What We Do
BEACH CLEANUPS
Monthly beach cleanups all throughout Southwest Florida are a great way to get involved and help clean our beautiful coast.
REEF CLEANUPS
Since 2022 we've been able to cleanup over 2,100 pounds of marine debris! (mostly old cast nets and anchors)
COMMUNITY GARDENS
With over 14 early learning food gardens, 1 large community garden, and two more large community gardens in progress throughout southwest Florida we are able to provide FREE food to our community.
