Volunteers are a critical part of a well-coordinated humanitarian response. In order to properly organize volunteers who are interested in aiding the community when an emergency does occur we ask that you view the opportunities below and respond to those that best match your current skill sets.
United Way works with local Emergency Management officials and partner agencies to post opportunities that are relevant in times of disaster. It is important to note that some of these may require training prior to an emergency activation, see the full details of the opportunity to learn more.
Depending on the disaster and the current phase it is in, volunteers can be extremely helpful to ensure survivors can return to their new normal. By working with an established non-profit organization, the appropriate safety, training, and skills can be considered.
We appreciate everything the community has done in the wake of past natural disasters and want to give those who want to help a chance to pre-register in the event that an emergency does occur.
