Holidays Without Hunger is Southwest Florida’s annual food-packaging event hosted by Meals of Hope. This year we aim to package 500,000 meals in 2 hours!
We are looking for volunteers to help with the setup for our biggest event of the year, Holidays Without Hunger at the Lee County Civic Center in Fort Myers. Volunteers will assist our Meals of Hope employees in setting up tables, equipment, and ingredients for the meals that will be packed the next day at the event. You'll be standing, walking, and using carts to transport all the equipment and ingredients to be placed on the tables. Additionally, you will help set up the tables with all the materials needed for each assembly line, as we will have 156 meal packing stations to prepare. You will receive training from one of our team members on what to do. If you are looking to contribute to an amazing cause this holiday season, please consider helping us during one of the two available shifts: FRIDAY DECEMBER 20TH: 9 AM - 12 PM: 5 slots available - 12 PM - 3 PM: 5 slots available. All the meals packed during the event will be distributed to families in need around SWFL. The goal is to pack 500,000 meals!
