Fort Myers Middle School, A Community Partnership School, Needs Spanish and/or Creole Translators during Open House

Community volunteers are invited to make a meaningful impact by volunteering at Fort Myers Middle School’s Open House event on January 13, 2026, from 6-7:30pm.  The Community Partnership School leadership team is seeking dedicated volunteers who speak Spanish or Creole to help translate and ensure that all families feel welcomed and supported during this important family night.   By stepping up to serve, volunteers not only strengthen connections between the school and its community, but also embody the true spirit of volunteerism—using their skills to uplift others and support local families in building stronger educational partnerships. This is a valuable opportunity to give back, grow personally, and contribute to the success of both the school and the community it serves.   We are looking for 4-5 Spanish speakers and 2-3 Creole speakers.   Volunteers are needed on-site the entire time to ensure that families are being supported throughout the event while they navigate through touring the campus and learning about the programs and services offered at FMMS, with translation in their native language.   Any community member interested in this opportunity can email Felicitas Carrillo, Director, Fort Myers Middle School, A Community Partnership School at felicitas@unitedwaylee.org  and follow the instructions below:
