- Admin Data Entry: Support administrative efforts by entering new client applications into the HMIS data system.
- Carboard Disposal: Assist with transporting accumulated cardboard to a designated disposal site.
- Donation Attendant: Support our pantry by receiving, weighing, organizing, and storing food donations. Tasks include moving boxes, stocking shelves, breaking down cardboard, and helping keep our receiving area clean.
- Food Donation Pickup: Assist with picking up donated items from local grocery partners: Winn Dixie (Monday) & Publix (Tuesday). Volunteers meet at our Labelle Service Center, then drive to stores, verify/log food temperatures, load donations, and return to the service center.
- Food Pantry Distribution: Support our community members on distribution day by setting up tables, preparing additional bags, moving items, handing out pantry bags, assisting with line organization, and helping with cleanup.
- Food Pantry Prep: Help prepare the pantry for distribution by checking expiration dates, packing food bags, organizing shelves, breaking down cardboard, and performing light cleaning.
- Front Desk Assistant: Seeking friendly, reliable volunteers to support our front desk operations. Front Desk Assistants play an important role in helping our community members access the services they need with dignity, compassion, and efficiency.
- Midwest Food Bank Pickup: Help with our monthly food bank collection by driving from the Labelle Service Center to Midwest Food Bank in Fort Myers, selecting priority items based on direction from Salvation Army staff, and returning to the Labelle Service Center to unload.
- Pantry Intake Assistant: Assist during pantry operations on Wednesdays. Check in clients using the computer system, assist with registering new clients/completing applications, provide a welcoming and helpful experience.
