Are you passionate about gardening and eager to make a meaningful impact in your community? LARC needs your green thumb and caring hands to help bring our Edible Forest and Sensory Garden to life!
Volunteer Opportunities:
We have a variety of tasks to suit all levels of gardening experience:
- Removing Old Garden Beds: Help us clear out the old to make way for the new!
- Installing New Composite Raised Garden Beds: Our prebuilt beds need a helping hand to be set up in their new home.
- Soil Preparation: Get your hands dirty by preparing the soil to ensure it’s nutrient-rich and ready for our seedlings.
- Planting and Seeding: Assist with planting a diverse range of vegetables, herbs, and sensory plants.
- Weeding, Pruning, and Fertilizing: Support the garden as it grows by maintaining the health of the plants, ensuring they thrive.
- Watering: Help keep our plants hydrated, especially during dry spells.
- Pest Control: Assist in organic pest management to protect our plants.
- Harvesting: Be part of the rewarding process of picking fresh produce for the community.
This project is a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature, meet fellow gardening enthusiasts, and contribute to a sustainable community initiative. Whether you can spare a few hours or commit to a regular schedule, your efforts will be deeply appreciated.
How to Get Involved: If you're ready to dig in and make a difference, please reach out to us. We welcome individuals, families, and groups of all sizes to join us in cultivating this beautiful space.
