Description

❗Hurricane Ian Opportunity❗

The Emergency Operation Center is in need of additional staff to assist in shelters for evacuees. Volunteers who agree to aid may bring their family and pets with them.

If you are able to assist, please complete the Shelter Assistance Survey: https://app.smartsheet.com/.../6fe73e8dcb8347429e1ae39029...
You will report as soon as you can, and plan to stay for the duration the shelter is in use.
Your role would be to assist in shelter operations, which can include but is not limited to: assisting with registration, food distribution, customer service to sheltering residents, aiding the pet area, and more. Flexibility to move with an ever-changing scenario is critical for smooth shelter operations.
We recommend volunteers bring with them 3 days of supplies. Suggested items to bring:
  1. Clothing
  2. Toiletries
  3. Bedding
  4. Medication
  5. Snacks and any special dietary needs
  6. Charging cords for electronics
  7. Personal first-aid kit
Again, please complete this survey if you are available to help. Your service to Lee County is greatly appreciated; we could not achieve our mission without you.
