The Processing Center holds all of the brand new donated items that will be distributed to the community through our partner agencies. You will be working with items that go directly to the students throughout Lee County schools from the School Resource Center. We've only had this section of the warehouse since January 3rd, a result of the increased need due to the hurricane. So many students lost everything- their backpacks & school uniforms, & even their bed. Your efforts will make the response time faster so we can get these items to those who need it in the most efficient way possible.
The Task: Volunteers may be assisting with inventory, organizing children's clothing by size, moving containers, condensing containers full of hygiene products, etc.
Preparation: Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes & clothing that is easy to move in and breathable. This is a brand new warehouse without AC yet, but stays very cool inside. Please bring your own water. We have portable restrooms on site & gas stations down the street.
Note for those looking for court mandated hours: Those with felony charges are not accepted at this time
