Join in and help us set the world record for most people involved in a citywide cleanup event! Hosted by the City of Cape Coral and held on Earth Day, April 22, 2023, #CapeCoralCleanup23 is a CITYWIDE cleanup event and We need YOUR help!
Gather your family and friends, go for a walk in your neighborhood and clean it up as you go. The city will be divided into "zones" based on your nearest Fire Station (click here to find the fire station closest to you). Register for the fire station closest to you to be included in the event and help City staff track which areas are being cleaned. You don’t need to go to a fire station to participate..
Before the event download the Cape Coral 311 app to your phone. Once you have cleaned up your neighborhood log into the app and geotag where your collected bags of trash are placed. The city will pick up the collected trash for disposal.
Work at your own pace and clean up where you think it is needed the most.
Be sure to take photos of you, your group and your collected trash and share it on social media using #CapeCoralCleanup23
Volunteers of all ages are welcome and any individual, family, school, group, place of worship, business or government entity can coordinate or participate. An adult must accompany all participants under the age of 16 at all times The event is a call to action to encourage a more sustainable city by focusing our efforts on an activity that will impact aesthetic community improvements and the environment.
Let's make this the biggest CITYWIDE cleanup ever!!
